Sunday Services

Everyone is welcome at our services and no special or formal dress is required.
At Cornerstone Elim we have a very open style of worship. During the service we will sing, pray and give expression to the gifts of the Spirit. Please feel free to stand and sit during worship, however you feel most comfortable. At some time during the service someone will preach.

Children and Youth

Morning Services
Children are very welcome at Cornerstone Elim.
We have 4 separate groups.
At Silverdale Church we have a Little Fish creche for 0-4's.  It is a bright room with lots of age appropriate toys and activities.  We have Bible stories, crafts and songs.  If your child is under 1 we ask a parent/carer to stay with them.
Age 4-11 children (reception class up to the end of year 6) can join with Big Fish Sunday, who have their own activities during the service in our upstairs Big Fish room.  This starts at approximately 11 am.  There's always lots of noise and action in Big Fish, so please do talk to us if your child has any particular needs; we want everyone to feel welcome and part of the fun at Big Fish.
At Cornerstone Community Centre we hold our Youth Church, for those in High School, which starts at 10:30am and includes relevant teaching, prayer, worship and of course a yummy breakfast too; we know how important food is to our growing teens!

At Cornerstone Knutton the children meet from 9:30am-10:30am for bible study and activities and they then join their parents for the main worship service.

Our Chinese Fellowship at Cornerstone Community Centre does not currently have it's own children's provision as their children join us at Silverdale Church for Little Fish and Big Fish.  You are of course welcome to keep your children with you at Cornerstone.

Communion

We have communion most weeks and it alternates between the morning and evening service. We believe that the bread and wine are symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus, so we participate in the communion service to remember that He died because of our wrong doings. Anyone who knows Jesus as their saviour is welcome to take part.
